Nah Lapis was pretty consistent with her trauma, she always retreated to her safe space when things got too real and lashed out in anger over little things which is true to the real problem. It's the fact she didn't interact with the characters because of it (besides Peridot, Steven and Jasper) that was the issue. Not very interesting even if it is realistic.

It's a real shame they did so little with Lapis. Seeing as she was the first non CG aligned gem we ever met, it really is disappointing that she ended up doing so little and being of almost no importance. Oh well.

In retrospect, it's weird that we never saw her interacting with Greg after the yacht episode. That one seemed to be building up a minor friendship based on their connection to Steven.
