The idea came up earlier in the Immortal Hulk storytime, and it's really grabbing me. As interesting as it was when Slott played with the fact Tony hasn't been "himself" in years, he really didn't do anything interesting with it. Fuck off, /m/. It's a cool design, but there's more to mecha than just being clunky as hell. Someone who's constantly trying to improve himself and his technology shouldn't look like a retro pulp robot forever.
That said, I was annoyed they never showed Ultimate Stark going through different models building up to a more familiar look and had him upgrade to a knockoff Extremis armor in-between volumes of Ultimates.
