Why does DC keep shoving this shitty character into everything?

There is nothing interesting about Darkseid besides "God of Order is Evil", and no comic where he was directly involved has ever even utilized that concept well. At least Thanos was explored as a character in Infinity Gauntlet, but Darkseid is always just a really powerful evil alien, and at least writers have tried to flesh out the other powerful DC aliens like Mongul, Despero, Kanjar-Ro, and Brainiac in different comics.
