>>115749932The conversative elements of the right and left have always existed, but I believe "women's studies" degrees became a popular coating degree in the 2010's and you got a lot of dumb young people thinking they'd learned stuff just because they paid $100k to be lectured by a psuedo-intellectual with a chip on her shoulder.
Those people got to the internet first, and then as people started hating them conservatives realized there was an internet and formed online counter movements, so now you hear from them both all the time.

This is all stemmed from a woefully misunderstood concept in the eighties and nineties where they portrayed black families as regular families because de-segregation was occurring and they wanted to drive home the idea that black people are not radioactive.
Honestly I don't know what white audiences are expected to learn from seeing a black girl wear the skin of a mutant wolf and stab things with a barbed stinger from a giant scorpion. I guess the lesson is black people could do that if, you know, the world worked in a way where impossible shit can happen. Or maybe that black people can be the cool guy with an immortal bug friend. I know points could be made if you care, but it's all pretty dubious and probably doesn't matter.
