It's so shitty that apparently the real moment/reason Star and Marco fell for each other wasn't the Blood Moon-- which yeah I think anyone would've known even before that was said-- and so they erased that memory of their dance for no reason, besides I guess erasing any doubts about the "curse" in the minds of the audience even though that episode introduced the curse in the first place. Like, "Hey guys, did you like this scene? Pretty cute, right? Really memorable moment from the show? Well FUCK YOU, it's gone forever and means nothing to these characters anymore! Now shut the fuck up, it's time for another one of Eclipsa's songs ft. Meteora beatboxing or some shit"
Between that, Janna conditioning Marco to hate nachos, and the wand reeeeeeaaaaaalllllllly being Meteora's rattle all along (and also arguably Star not being legitimate royalty and the destruction of magic, though at least those two had obvious connections to the plot and so were done for a reason), it really feels like the writers just made a lot of decisions to spite stuff from the first season and anyone who may have enjoyed it.
tell me I'm not crazy
