>>115552942Because most people on here are younger than 24 and didn't live during the various era of adult animation. I think the 70s were the peak of genuine mature animation, and after the 80s adult animation that wasn't in the vein of Rick and Morty or Family Guy became rare.
Also, the Simpsons, as absolutely incredible as the first 8-9ish seasons were, through no fault of their own (because people who didn't actually bother to watch it criticized it) damaged the public perception of what adult animation could be, thus setting the modern precedent we currently experience and are just now leaving.
We're only just now seeing a return to genuine mature (non-comedic or adult humor) animation in the West, the East thankfully never stopped, they just never were as good (or bad) at animation as the West.
That's probably the main reason why you don't see adult animation discussed here, most folks on this platform don't have a lot of experience with it and the ones that do are older and tend to stay in their own smaller communities that predate 4chin, where genuine, intelligent conversation can happen. I'm unfortunately not smart enough to participate with them without coming across as a newfag so I roam and shitpost here like a faggot.
