>>115534407>How did you get into Mike Mignola's work?I am fairly sure I found it through 4chan. Around ~13-15 years ago.
>What's your favorite Hellboy stories?Too man to choose from. Let's just say Pancakes and that is my cheap answer.
>What's your favorite BPRD stories?I liked the ending of Hell on Earth: Cometh the Hour. Also have fond memories of Sledgehammer 44.
>What's your favorite non-Hellboy and non-BPRD Mignola stories?Mr. Higgins Comes Home. And Baltimore. Damn I loved Baltimore. I hope the Lady Baltimore will not be a fuckup.
Also the one he did with her daughter, don't remember the title. Something serpent and magician.
>What were your thoughts on the 2019 reboot?Wasted opportunity. A total lack of understanding why these stories are great. Trying to cram too much in.
>What're your thoughts on The Devil You Know?15 issues was not enough, needed a minimum of 5 more at least, but could have done more. Arcudi was sorely missed, he was the talent when it came to writing.
Also some opinions:
- Lobster Johnson is a fantastic character, but his standalone series I find disappointing.
- Unsure what the aim of the Abe Sapien series was, but it did not land well.
- Have mixed feelings about The Visitor. Liked those creatures more until I knew less about them.
- Witchfinder is a total rollercoaster. Some episodes are pretty dope, but then stuff like the Gates of Heaven was huge meh.
- BPRD: Vampire I found to be a letdown.
- Itty Bitty Hellboy (at least the first volume) was bretty good. Don't remember Hellboy Junior if that was any good.
- Weird Tales was awesome.
I own(ed) some Hellboy action figures and boy they are great. I want more BPRD characters in /toy/ form.
Read some of the novels, but they were trash, so ended up selling them.
Also I have some t-shirts, those are bretty good too.
