Why is nudity still taboo in comics even if they are intended for mature audiences? We can't even see Batman's penis even though it was a Black Label comic. Even Non-Marvel/DC comics can't even show nudity.

There really needs to be a good reason for nudity. Violence can be used for a number of different plots and story progression nudity beyond X-rated or cheesecake comics can only do so much.

The simple answer is because if you want to jerk off their are places to do that. It shortens the comics to not have to write out each and every intricate detail of sex and it isn't appropriate for kids to watch that. Same could be said for gore, but let's be honest the comics meant for a "mature" audience is still read by kids too. It's easier to fly through a gore scene in a few panels then slog through a sex scene for a few pages. Also because no one wants to deal the fact all their copies have teen and young adult jizz all over them. It's demoralizing.

At least in my opinion
