I don’t think Enter could handle cutting the adults without making shit even worse through his constant need for complicated worldbuilding and lore.
If it were just a matter of simplifying the show and the audience’s belief could be suspended enough so that all those weird questions would never need to be addressed, then it could potentially be an improvement. But there’s no way that that would be how Enter would handle it. It’s funny, he gets so salty about people asking questions, but he also strives to have way too many questions answered perfectly as though he wanted to make something that could logically work.
Also the relationships between the kids and adults are somehow supposed to be central to the themes and story. Though really I think the adults are mostly present so that Enter can make revenge porn about people he thinks have wronged him.
