I do enjoy this denouement - it's disarming how calm it is compared to all the madcap pell-mell rushing that preceded it. You acutely feel as though you're over the line and dizzy with the sensation. It's very filmic - as Hershey delivers her final speech I can imagine the score swelling in the background before it cuts to the credits and the full theme kicks in.
In any case, we've brought "Total War" to an end and with that, it's time to close the book on another /co/ Storytime. It's 3:30AM here in Bongland and while we've all gone to bed I hope our cousins across the pond have found a couple of 2000AD Thrills something offbeat and intriguing and fun to read.
The two stories I've uploaded come from the trade paperback "Total War". The paperback has a third story, "After the Bombs", which I can't upload here (I'm about to collapse here now, it's super late), but if you do pick up the book yourself there's still new extras to enjoy so you are getting added value.
If you want to read more Dredd, I'll just link to my video with my reccommedations for beginner stories one last time -
https://youtu.be/rLfI9-Z4wn4 - let me know in the comments whether you found it a useful format, I'd like to make sure future videos are informative and engaging as possible.
I'll have to leave it at that for now, but if you've enjoyed reading along with me give the thread a bump so /co/mpatriots coming in late have a chance to have a read of it themselves too.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone! Splundigg Vur Thrigg!
