>>115232806Because it was unapologetic in it's disgusting & cruel shock humor without trying to be preachy. Everyone in the cast were assholes and got their comeuppance in the end. No one was a special snowflake/writers pet, no one was YAAAS QUEEN Bait for being LGBTQ+, and no one was above one another at the end of the episodes.
Nowadays shock humor shows like Big Mouth, Tuca & Bertie, Rick & Morty, etc hides behind identity politics. They're all the same compared to Drawn Together in shock value but claim that having a mostly female and/or LGBTQ+ writing cast makes them irreproachable. This also transfers over to the show as characters become spoiled brats with plot armor a la Rick Sanchez because of the same arrogance the writers have.
Look at Always Sunny & Old South Park. They're overall the same premise as Drawn Together but they show that everyone is an asshole not above getting kicked in the nuts. LGBTQ+, Straights, Blacks, Whites, Muslims, Jews, Christians, and everyone else is treated with the same shit stained comb.
>TL;DRNo one likes to be preached at by sanctimonious frauds and hypocrites. They want to laugh at some black comedy without wokescolds or identity politic shilling.
