Most of the incest screeching from Voltron was the same as the Pedo accusations for shipping Allura with Lance or Shiro with Keith it was just rabid shippers trying to find proof of why their ship was the best and everyone who disagreed was a freak.

She-ra has luckily not had to deal with that, while Catra and Adora can be considered adoptive sisters or whatever it doesn't really factor into the Shipping ideology. Most who ship it dont care since they are not blood related and those who dont ship it have a multitude of reasons why and being raised together is buried under stuff like Catra is a self destructive time bomb.

You know, this show in general is basically the Sequel trilogy but better written. Right down to the bad guy being a clone made by a bigger bad guy. Only here they explore that concept instead of it being of a throwaway fact.

The quality is uneven, the show improves with each season. Season 1 is okay, season 2 + 3 are pretty good, and season 4 is great. If you don't care about the characters in season 1 you probably won't like the rest of the show as it's character-driven.

What are you looking for in a series?

I can't recommend it if you're looking for action, its bad as an action show. The animation is stiff, lifeless and there's no impact to anything.
Comedy, eh? I can't think of any jokes that really stick out.
Its more, lets be blunt here, if you want to ship characters. The plot is an uneven mess, but if you just want to watch essentially Sailor Moon with worse animation, you'll have a great time.

I'm still working my way through and just got to season 4 and while I'll admit Catra is the main draw, my enjoyment of the show as a whole is inversely proportional to how much screentime is given to the other one-dimensional Princess characters.
They're such unlikable dullards that I couldn't find myself giving a shit if the bad guys paved over their kingdoms or not.
Funny how after the first season they only appear in like 20% of the episodes, despite being showcased in every opening, and the show didn't suffer in the least because of it.
