My house: 4 bedrooms +1 upstairs lounge that has since been walled off into being a room that's equal in size to all but the master bedroom, 2.5 bath, Living room, family room, kitchen, (all 3 are roughly the same size as the Foyer for the simpsons (that is the fireplace room)), aside from that you've got 2 extra walk in closets and the garage.
So about the same size just without the Basement (possibly a little bit larger since garage doesn't stick out like that). It works out to around 2.5k-3k square feet.
Generally though $100 per square foot isn't that hard to find even now. My house was only 200k~ back when we bought it in 2007.
