Anon, this was a pourposeful thing done by the writers and editors because they had FUCK ALL to do with WW that would sell her to the fanbase.
They litterally got rid of HW because she was a better WW and her relationship with GL was seen as fantastic.
No one fucking liked WW and every time she was on screen and not being a kungfu brick/worf was a fun and charisma drain.
So they did all of that.
