Because it (along with Marvel, Avengers Alliance) was the last bastions of Marvel before the MCU synergy completely took over. It borrowed elements from the MCU, but didn't let them overtake the love of Marvel.

Don't even remind me about what Jeph Loeb did to this show.

These days it more or less is. But back then they were two different things. Ms. is generally pronounced "mzzz" to distinguish itself from Miss, but the difference is now lost on anyone under 40 anyways, so that they're now used practically interchangeably.
