Even though we didn’t see Pearl at the garden, Spinel and her recognized each other.
We know that White gave Pearl to Pink, and based on Gem position most likely created her. Pearls seem to be made different from other Gems given they have a manufacturing center, but Pearl’s reset compared to Ruby’s means when created they aren’t assigned to their “owner” from the start and have to be wiped to get a new master.
We know that Pink’s biggest meltdown over White saying she was not fit to run a colony was when Volleyball cracked, and White had Pink locked into the tower prison for an extraordinarily long time even by Gem standards.
We know Spinel and the Garden were created by someone else to entertain Pink.
We know Pink spent a long time asking Yellow and Blue for a colony, and Yellow had attempted to teach her how. Blue also tried to teach her how to behave, and both failed to teach her anything.
We know Pink still had little idea of colony management or creation, and Pearl was basically the one being her tutorial. We also know Pearl wasn’t afraid to remind Pink of protocol.
We know that White used to be very close to Pink, but pushed her away at some point prior to her false Shattering when she secluded herself from everyone.
