>>114423657Chicago is engulfed in a super gang war. The Live Wires are a group of people using tech to enhance themselves and are trying to take over the criminal enterprises of the area. The local mafia, lead by Pompey, are old blood meta humans and they come to conflict.
Two heroes emerge during this conflict: Striker16 (metahuman) and Thundershock (tech heroine).
Striker is eventually killed by the Live Wires and Thundershock killed by Pompey's mob about a year later, though not before another new hero, Motion, also takes up the mantle.
The parents of both of the young heroes react in different ways. Striker's parents founded The Collective, an organization to help meta humans find more legitimate work in society that makes use of their powers.
Thundershock's father, though, gets a hold of one of his late daughter's suits and begins modifying it for his own use becoming Six Feet Thunder.
Things do not go well for Six Feet Thunder and he ends up dead as well, but the suit he modified wasn't used for a reason. It had not only mechanical tech, but biological tech in it, very experimental biological tech.
So SFT comes back to life, only he's no longer himself, there's nothing left of the man's mind, nothing other than a single minded determination to kill Pompey and anyone or anything that gets in his way.
He goes full Kratos on the city once he's a zombie. The story doesn't last much longer after that.
