>>114360510I admit initially I tried to feed it to automatic solvers first, but it didn't yield anything, probably because of the few weird words. So trying to solve it manually I still clinged to the idea that this isn't english and possibly russian despite cyrillic having way more letters, all because of the damn second video title. After looking at "???" I checked that there's seemingly no widespread russian words that are 3 letter and end with a double.
English actually has a few of those, "ALL" is a popular word so I tried that. So two letter words that start with ? are probably "AS", "AM", "AN", etc. That means the only single letter word ? is probably "I" because "A" is already mapped to another letter. So other two letter words that start with ? are most likely either "IS", "IN", "IF"… When it started looking like sentence it's mostly guess work and going through lists of words. Turns out there are sites for listing existing words based on known letter positions, I guess it's for people who play scrabble or fill out crosswords.
It was way easier thanks to transcript other anon made, I can't imagine doing all those substitutions on paper.
