If the study is whether kids whose parents whored around with various people including some of the same sex, those kids do worse than anyone in a stable two income household who are planned, because money.
The biggest factor is do they have money. If it's a gay couple who either adopted or arranged something, they are just more likely to have money than a random heterosexual condom that didn't really want kids but forgot birth control and wind up divorced and poor (divorced and rich is okay).
This isn't really a very idealistic result, it's just a basic mechanism that it takes more money for a married, monogamist gay couple to "have kids" than a straight couple, full stop. The couple with lots of money will have "better outcomes" because statistically, that's really what matters, sad to say. But, yes: both straight and gay (and bisexual or whatever) poors in unstable relationships have shit outsomes because they don't have money and their cash ends up split between kids. All I have learned is if you don't have a two income household where both parents are close to six figures, you're kind of screw your kids over if you have them, because that's the shitty fucking world we live in today.
