>>114157697So you're ignoring the huge qualifying factor in that statement?
>If he gained some humilityThat's the thing. Doom is a good role model in many ways. He's intellgient, he's driven, he's focused, he's hard working, but he's also arrogant, self-obsessed, cruel, etc. That anon isn't saying Doctor Doom, as he was there would be a good role model, he was saying that if he changed his ways and got Mjolnir to accept him as worthy (a VERY tall order for Doom), then Odin would use him as a passive aggressive role model.
Which leads me onto the other pont. Secondly, he's saying ODIN would show his kids a real role model, this being Odin, who both in mythology and in the comics is shown to have pretty different values then modern society (even going back a few decades). Not that Doom IS a real role model to real like people. That anon isn't saying that Doom is a real life role model that real boys and men should seek to emulate, he's saying that Doom, if he became humble, if he changed his character and ways to be considered worthy of Mjolnir could be used by Odin to basically nag his kids. Not that Doom, even with that qualifying 'if he gained some humility' would be a good role model in general. Unlike Quinn which has been lauded as a female role model despite still having all of her negative traits, murdering people, etc but just because she's no longer written as a Joker fangirl.
Also don't tell me you actually remembered that off hand and didn't just search for "Doom Role Model" in the archvies.
