The main story is over, Steven redeemed the meanie gems (dem diamond bitches), everything has been fixed so to go from an actual engaging story, even if flawed, to just focusing on Steven’s dumbass teenage personal problems and his sudden PTSD is just plain self indulgent. Speaking of which, where did PTSD shit even come from? He spent the entire past show playing a super happy-go-lucky kid that’s always trying to get everyone to play nice; never once did he show to be in distress due to the events occurring around him. And now, probably because Rebecca and the crew ran out of ideas, Steven is given PTSD as a plot point to drive the remainder of the series. What the ever loving fuck?! It’s funny really, real fucking comedic, wanna hear a joke? People are seriously comparing this to fucking Evangelion. THATS STOOPID! What I liked about Evangelion is how the events that occurred in the series actually effected Shinji, Shinji didn’t stay sad, happy or sad, his emotions were varied depending on what was going on in the story, it was a plot driven show as much as it was a character driven anime.
I don’t mind Rebecca and the gang trying to expand the story but it’s how you do it. Take Gurren Lagan, it skipped a bunch of years into the future but didnt focus on the main character’s issues, it instead expanded on the story, and that’s what this show should have been
