>>113963340Objective Fact: The show was a lot better when it was basically slice-of-life tier in season one, especially since hugging shit out works a lot better as a solution when the focus is entirely on family drama instead of getting bogged down with constant potentially-world-ending conflicts that double as family drama.
So basically, the problem isn't that it was too much filler, but that it should've all been filler. It didn't work after the shift because the vibe wasn't meant for it, and that shift opened the door to not only fanwank but for those working on the show to wank off.
