>>113884869It still amazes me how Alex Hirsch--a twenty-something literal who--managed to completely redefine Disney TVA's future output, even going as far as to outshine their previous cash cow: Phineas and Ferb. Dan & Swampy's second show couldn't even get off the ground despite using a more serialized format that Gravity Falls had proven was financially successful.
Now we have Amphibia, Big City Greens, the DuckTales reboot, The Owl House, and even Molly McGee, all of which probably wouldn't have gotten the go-ahead or turned out they way they have without GF's surprisingly positive performance. Hirsch somehow managed to convince Disney to bring back 22-minute episodes, too.
Love him or hate him, the dude's had a pretty massive influence in his field.
