>>113889101The way I see it there are 3 scenarios. We know from a few months ago they intend to cut down to midnight, so let’s just accept that as an inevitable, even though I expect Demarco to try and blame that choice on Corona
>idealNothing happens. Funi gets the dub delay resolved in the next 2 and a half weeks and MHA airs to completion. Demon Slayer is replaced by a new show on schedule. Based on what Demarco said today, it seems like this is very unlikely to be what happens
>acceptable compromise MHA does not get its dub back on track and is pulled from the block early. In exchange, a new show takes its place earlier than expected. Again, Demarco seems to already be conceding to failure so I’m not expecting this
>disasterMHA does not finish, they rerun MHA in the lead slot for an undetermined amount of weeks, and FLCL reruns replace Demon Slayer. Not only will this be brutal to the ratings, it will sour any new audience the block has found thanks to Corona.
The third scenario would require them to have an insane summers worth of content to make up for, but seeing how lazy they are, I doubt they could pull it off. Especially since Funimation cancelled the summer simuldubs too, which means Fire Force is likely not going to be an option as early as they may have expected. And we have seen how Demarco responds to shows not being available
