>>113767344>Public school was too dangerous, to the other kids. When did a young Steven ever show any aggression that would make it so that you'd think "better keep him away from other kids"?
>Once he was older they did encourage, and even on occasion force, Steven to interact with other kids his age for the sake of socializing. When has Steven ever been shown hanging with kids his age other than Connie? Give me some examples cause the only thing I'm picking up is the rare times he spoke to Frie boi for "the bits".
>Greg is perfectly able to help Steven work through most issues he has, he's just limited by the same restrictions as any parent that Steven has to actually share his problems with him.You don't have to be told by a child that they need a therapist. Kid sees some heavy shit, goes through having his life threatened by outside forces or even family members ... maybe they need to talk about it. They say everything's fine and they don't need to talk about it? So? You're the parent, if they don't want to talk to you about it you can bring in professional help to help bridge the gap.
Maybe if the boy had a human teacher, a single other adult human close to him, maybe they would pick up on signs Greg doesn't see and recommend he see someone. Like fuck, apparently seeing Pearl get poofed for the first time was traumatic to him. Tell a teacher "I saw my mom die" and they might think that's worth talking about.
>Steven was given an education on a much more personalized level. Something significantly better than public school could provide. He didn't know you had to read books in sequential order to understand the plot.
His teachers in life seem to be Greg and the Gems ... the Gems give zero thought to human shit so it makes sense they wouldn't bother having him read book series or understand the concept of "school". When ever Connie talks to him about school or advanced topics it seems like its all goop to him.
