I'm really enjoying it so far. I think Spencer is working on fixing a ton of Slott's garbage while making a fun and engaging book with good humor and an intriguing mystery.

If I had to pick two cons, it'd be:
1. that 2099 arc was just not good whatsoever
2. I'm hyped for Kindred, but it is starting to take a little long to find out who he is. Every time they give us a big who about his identity, then I expect some new reveal and the next solicit has Spidey fighting some villain I don't care about like Chance. The issue with him is still good and all, but I'm gettin' a bit antsy.

Buuut, it seems like we'll be getting an actual reveal in issue 44, so I just gotta sit back and wait.

Yeah I skipped it when I saw it. it just seemed like a non-sequitur that was really unrelated to anything going on in the rest of the run

Hunted was pretty good getting rid of Kraven again to replace him with his son so last hunt can stay canon getting pete and MJ back together and finally fixing black cat. They’re gearing up for a reveal soon so that should be good

I’m curious if the Teresa, Chameleon, and Clairvoyant stuff is relevant to the Kindred stuff. Admittedly there’s like 3 or 4 plots happening at once but it’s woven together pretty well (for now).

It’s really not. Compare it to Slott’s first 40~ Issues and it’s not even close. Big Time thru Superior is miles better than this crap.

I honestly just wikid since I haven’t touched it since it came out, I remember liking slott up until superior as well I think superior started out alright but it dragged for 18 issues longer than it should’ve.

What I didn’t realize was brand new day was 102 issues over three years fucking a that’s to many issues, I wonder why they didn’t try to split it between books like web of and spectacular

I did compare it. Slott's was entertaining when first reading it, but really doesn't hold up that well at all. Like >>113713586 said, he messed up Phil Urich's characterization some more, and you can see the gradual flanderization of Spider-Man into manchild over the run.

You might like Slott's more just because things happen at a way faster pace (and I think that's what gave him the advantage over other Marvel writers in the last decade).

I like it.
I like MJ and Peter’s relationship improving.
I really like Peter telling Black Cat about his secret identity (and her calling him out about the memory erasure). And glad she is no longer a bitch/evil.
I like that Spencer is using some old villains (excited to see Sin Eater back). The Kraven event dragged on a bit too long but I had fun.
I like that Peter has roommates that he can hang out and talk to.

And I am interested in seeing where he goes with Kindred.
