Seconded. Bless the Harts may look ugly, but I enjoy the writing in its first season, especially those last three episodes, for example, far more than anything in Duncanville so far.
I know I've said this before, imma say it again - If the shoe just focused on the two crazy parents and their children were just the adopted daughter, this show might have been High Tier for me. Emphasis on might - meaning a stronger writing staff to flesh everyone out right away / make them likable from the start, would be required.
As is? It's just >>>/trash/
. Making the MCs a wuss ass bitch (Duncan), an obvious SJWBSer (Kimberly), Duncan's uninteresting friends and failed attempt at one-upping SJWBS girlfriend whose name I can't remember, because THAT'S JUST HOW FUCKING LAME these characters we're wasting time on are...
Yeah, I won't be surprised if this can't make it past two seasons.
I'd rather fucking sit through more Tina-based episodes of Bob's Burgers, despite /co/'a hate-boner for said character; unpopular opinion: I actually like Tina (I acknowledge that Louise is BEST CHARACTER, though. No argument there.), at least she doesn't make me want to hurt someone like Duncan and Kimberly do for being so annoying, so early on. Tina just doesn't need to be focused on in so many episodes, though (which is a big problem with S10 so far, for me, anyway.) - she worked better in earlier seasons. In fact, all the kids did, when there was more balance between them and Bob/Linda, really - something that show doesn't really have as of late (hence why it needs to eventually end, soon.).
Damn shame, I still like Bob's Burgers (and also Bless The Harts, despite the art style issues with it) >>>>>>>>>> fucking Duncanville, admittedly enough.
