>>113590643Yes, Radnid was pretty much sunk in the same episode it was introduced, early on in the series. They weren't even a couple, they just went on one failed date years earlier in junior high, which both of them regretted. After that, they had like two shippy moments, the last one being in "KO's Video Channel' (ep 33 out of 112), which was 5 eps before the first Enid/Red Action episode.
>>113590179>It looked like they wanted to flesh their relationship out but they had no time.Their relationship was fleshed out, it just wasn't romantic. Enid and Rad had many platonic bro moments. The writers had plenty of time to build up this ship, even after being told to wrap up the series, but they chose not to. It was Rednid the whole way. In one of the last episodes of the final season they toyed with the possibility of Rad being in love with Enid, only to shoot it down in the shittiest way imaginable, canonize Rednid in the same ep and make Rad a supporter of said relationship. Then, in the literal last minute of the finale, after showing that adult Enid and Red Action are still together in their last scene in the show a few minutes earlier, they showed those kids that were a perfect blend of Rad and Enid's looks ( including their outfits) and abilities, and when asked wtf they meant by that, they responded with some vague bullshit like "those kids are whoever you want them to be, they are meant to look ambiguous, all ships are safe, yadda yadda". First they bait Radnid shippers, then they turn around and troll yurifags with a forced, out-of-the-blue open ending. Dick move and terrible writing.
