There is literally nothing wrong with season 5 besides the ending. And when you consider Gendy got shafted but losing two episodes, it's understandable the flow was ruined

i don't even think this is a case of limitation encouraging creativity seems more like a train of thought that because it has a higher rating you have to include gratuitous immature jokes and scenes to justify it. Were there any limitations on genndy in the original seasons? it seemed like he got to do a lot of stuff you normally wouldn't see.

Primal is some good shit but I'll never trust Genndy again unless they explain the guardian in the new video game. It's been 3/4 years and I'm just as mad as I was then.

Looking back on it, I legit think he just forgot about the Guardian and that episode and didn't remember until it was too late, which explains that half-assed, seconds long shot of the broken sunglasses in an area that doesn't even remotely resemble the location of that episode. Also, did they ever explain who that little creature who helped Ashi find Jack was? I don't remember.

Restrictions are important when producing a show. I like when shows like Avatar, Justice League, Green Lantern, ect touch on mature themes but have to work on a fine line to get the point across.

The only thing bad about Season 5 was how rushed the main plot was in the second half, those first five episodes were some of the best in the series.

Samurai Jack was just random cool shit they threw in to make episodes. It's no surprise that once they had create to a consistent narrative and weave everything together into a fitting end, that they ran into difficulties.

There are plenty of things wrong with Season 5 aside from the ending, such as Jack magically getting over all of his problems and PTSD in pretty much one episode.

I don't mind him being at peace after Aku is gone. What I mean is more along the lines of:

>Jack decides not to go save village in Episode 1
>Jack eventually is guilted to go there
>finds a bunch of people dead, including children whom he hallucinates begrudging him for his inaction
>cut to Episode 5
>Jack has a PTSD attack over seeing kids seemingly die because of Ashi
>this is enough to cause him to commit suicide, even though he's not at fault for this like he was in Episode 1
>finding out these kids are alive is enough to make him want to keep living, even though the kids in Episode 1 are still dead because of his actions

Damn, it actually looks cool but I'm fucking confused as to why they'd release it in 2020 instead of back in 2017. Honestly they could do "Samurai Jack: the Lost Years" and have a bunch of episodes of jack during the 50 years between the last season and the previous season.

Yes, yes I do want an explanation. We spent an entire goddamn episode watching Jack fight this dude, and he was the only one he could never beat. They immediately set this guy up as important, only for S5 to just brush him under the rug. If he were brought back, I would want at LEAST half an episode dedicated to seeing him defeated by Aku, or whatever the hell happened to him.

Absolutely. It would've been a perfect story if it was a mentor / pupil thing rather than a romance story. That's far more fitting of a samurai story and would've made everything go full circle considering Jack's origins.
