>>113481397Arrow season 1 was kinda a poor soap opera mixed with attempts at a Mike Grell realism Arrow. It was okay. It started to build up near the end. Season 2 was the hype train building up and adding comic book superhero shit. But the train derailed in season 3. From forcing in love triangles and weird hokey shit. Every season after it started to go down.
Flash was okay, all I ever wanted was the proper rogues and they never really did it. It was even more hokey than Arrow was getting. I stopped after a couple of seasons. Some of the extended cast got flanderised beyond belief.
Legends of Tomorrow was them leaning in to giving what the fans wanted using the C listers they could. It is alright but you have to be invested in the others.
Supergirl is bottom of the barrel trash. The CGI is attrocious. The writing makes some of Arrow look good.
Black Lightning, I watched the first few episodes and eh? Every time they spoke about THE BLACK COMMUNITY and called Black Lightning Principal Black Jesus I cringed. I am surprised some black people actually like the show when it is that cringe? It feels more like blaxploitation parody like Black Dynamite.
Most of these shows I watched start out comfy and build. Then flanderisation and poor writing ruins them. The characters are too Whedon like, talking/quippy. The fact that Arrow even let interns write episodes shows you how bad it got in the mid part. Sure they have done some crossovers and shit but honestly for them to really be good you have to be invested in the show.
Maybe watch the first few seasons of Arrow/Flash. Maybe watch Smallville instead (Dawson's Creek with Superman). Or watch Batman/Superman cartoons and Justice League.
