The Stretch Armstrong one had the problem of taking place between seasons, except season one ended on a massive twist and cliffhanger, so newcomers trying out the special first would feel lost. Plus, there's the fact that your decisions can't affect much beyond the orders in which you fight the villains, how the heroes work with Dr. C, and whether Multi-Farious dies, is cured, or sent back to jail.
I did notice that the trailer avoided obvious spoilers, like literally-who ACME agents chasing Carmen and Carmen covering up the area where Shadow-san or Roundabout would sit when VILE contacts her.
