>>113318047Well, collectively they can apparently destroy all the Cosmic Abstracts including the true Living Tribunal with pewpew lasers, like they said they're "dreamers, destroyers" that can create and crunch universes and give ideas forms such as the virus that overwrote the drones sent to investigate them. They're also said to be universally harmonic whatever that means, I interpreted as their powers can interact with all things in the cosmos equally but I forgot if that's the canon answer or not. Their powers surpass the Infinity Gauntlet although it gave Doom (the proxy wielder not holder of them, it should be noted) a bit of a struggle, and they reproduce by seeding pocket universes with Cosmic Cubes.
Yet New Avengers seems to imply they may be vulnerable or at least malleable to those using the energies of the Wild White Spaces they hail from given how their cousins in Beyond Corp were thwarted, the Starbrand's explosion took out one, Ex Nihilo gang died taking advantage of one's adaptivity by evolving it into a space tree which a nearby Beyonder considered a true loss.
tl;dr pretty goddamn powerful.
>>113318134Yeah, that's true. Morrison, Gaiman, Moore all had their low points too-not to say his writing has no flaws at all, but I respect Carey during his Lucifer run for being keeping callbacks very modest or aligning them very closely to the direction of the story.
>>113318051I'm very conflicted about current JLD, but I absolutely agree it's an improvement over the previous run's pewpew magic lasers. I like the panels getting wibbly-wobbly when big deal magic is being used.
This is strange to put into words, but I felt that ending was jarring because Perpetua SEEMED too convincingly written as a jobber, if that makes any sense? I know the idea is she was toying with them, but looking at her plan it just feels TOO easy to poke holes at faultlines in her scheme like what if Luthor just never found the damn doorknob.
