Like the first quarter is pure wank, and not even stylish wank like a proper Samurai Jack, just scenes and scenes of people and places you've already seen in the original show (fucking lazy fanservice) just watching the classic intro. Nothing interesting actually happens in it, there is no tension.
There is no final fight with Aku. Like, nothing at all.
There is absolutely no resolution or answer to what exactly happened to the timeline Jack left. Has it been destroyed ? Am I supposed to be happy when the (admittely small) secondary cast of a show I liked not only died but were actively retconned from existnece ? Is it simply going on in a split timeline kinda fashion (by the way, this is actually what is hinted in the buddhist episode in the original show where Jack choose to not enter a time portal to save people in the future)? So they're all dead since Aku would still be there and Jack wouldn't be. Is it going on ina new universe where they're all somehow still alive but without Aku ? Sound like pure headcanon as there's nothing that even hints at that.
I don't give half a fuck about whether Jack go back to the past and lives his days in peace, or whether he gets to fuck Ashi or not, but considering half the fucking season is spent doing fuck all for the overal """""plot"""" calling it anything other than a complete and utter waste is an insult to the original show.
