>>112987290>Are the networks telling these creators to make everything in the beanmouth styleNot entirely, but they are more likely to produce a show with easy to fund artstyles that fits in with the rest of their lineup.
Also remember that TEST AUDIENCES can determine whether a pilot gets made into a show or not. If a group of random kids likes a popular artstyle more than something different, then the network would absolutely go with that. Cable is dying and tv execs want to take as little risks as possible.
however there ARE many producers that really want to try greenlight new ideas and take risks, but there's always someone higher that can shut it down if it doesn't work with the overly specific circumstances that the studio might be in. It's very frustrating.>do creators really like Steven Universe/Star VsA lot of show creators are friends with each other and worked on each others shows at some point, heavily influencing each other and how they draw things. This has been a thing for years as you can see in the 90s with Genndy, Craig, and Rob Renzetti.
the biggest problem isn't the friends that influence each other, but the outsiders that see a popular trend and try to copy it without knowing what influenced said style in the first place.
