>>112972045There was an on-going line during Hickman's runs that went "Everything ends", often espoused by Reed Richards or some similarly cold intellectual dwelling on the incursion or finality of existence because for whatever reason people are convinced aimlessly fixating on death and doom is a sign of big brain.
He "flipped" it by having a Superman expy, Sun God?, say "Everything lives", which, yes, that statement is as nonsensical as your basic thought process deduced initially, is it referring literally to everything being alive? Well that's just wrong. Is it figurative? Well, that's useless considering it's a given all living things live.
But whatever, it wasn't meant to be a meaningful moment to the arc, just a clunky attempt to mirror an earlier stance.
I'm not sure if the next thing came from that, but what I do remember is during the lead up to Doomsday Cock-up there was a MS paint strip where in response to Doc Manhattan's "Nothing matters" Superman just responds "but it does". It reminded me of Sun God's puzzling proposal.
None of that was in due seriousness, though.
Here you have Superman, Batman, the Spectre and the Stranger after the Presence knows how much horseshit all seriously standing there, drumming up what Snyder believes, just by telling and not showing (ironically after Superman demands to be told, and is instead shown), is an event that is "bigger than Justice or Doom (whatever that even means outside of a stilted reference to the arbitrary terms the League and Legion chose), and is "everything", "every story, event, elseworld, one-shot and crossover", the biggest of the big stakes...and what does he have Wonder Woman (paraphrasing) say in response to Perpetua's supposed stance
>...EVERYTHING MATTER(s)There are people, on here even, who do a 9 to 5 daily just to barely make rent and groceries and Snyder is squeezing out this fecal festival monthly for an actual paycheck.
