Did this dumb fuck get fired from being EiC at Heavy Metal? I remember they made a big fuss about him taking over but he hasn't been in the magazine for years.

Grant on Heavy Metal was a fantastic fit, but it was one that was never going to last. Far as I'm aware Tim Seeley stepped in to handle the editing duties, but he's having just as much trouble as Grant probably did considering Soft Wood was delayed months on end. Heavy Metal just seems like an incompetently run company no matter who's running the show.

It's a fantasy/sci-fi anthology comic magazine aimed at a adult audience in mind. Used to be really great when it first debuted and was translating stuff from Metal hurlant. Been a while since its been good through. Bascally, if you can pick up any Heavy Metal magazine try to pick up stuff from the late 70's to anything from the 80's

They had a great bit of press when they announced Grant as EiC that was completely squandered. I hadn't read Heavy Metal in years and thought it would be a good jumping on point yet most of the stories in his first issue were already ongoing. Completely inaccessible.

Heavy Metal is having a ton of management problems right now. Grant wanted to stay on but everyone was giving him different orders to the point that he couldn't even do his job. So Seeley is doing the work and trying to keep it afloat but it doesn't look good for the company.
