>>112654315Maybe he didn't have someone steer him in the right direction. Pan, like a lot of artists, wants to be a character designer and storyboard artist, because that's where the prestige is at. Problem is that there's little demand and too much supply for that job to begin with, and second he's genuinely a fucking terrible character and story artist. He's got taste for flair, but you can tell its a joyless struggle for him to draw characters and put together a story based on his comic. Genuinely really bad show of skill that he's not good at.
You know what he's really good at? Editing, Color design, Digital layout, background/environment art. You know what all of that has in common? Those are jobs in the industry that are high demand, low supply. NOBODY wants to do those jobs, they're about the least sought after career witht he least prestige and attention, but you know what? You can make a show with bad character designs. You can't make a show without editing and layout on some level. You know that Nico guy making Ollie and scoops? terrible artist, works as an animatic editor, genuinely makes enough money off that alone to singlehandedly fund his own show.
If Pan could swallow his pride, stop hanging around sycophants all trying to go for the same pipe dream, and actually focus on his fucking strengths, he'd be in the industry by now making a ton of bank and probably even running his own show that he just delegates the nitty gritty of writing and character design to someone better at it than him, while he focuses on the world design and production side of it.
He has so many industry people going to his podcast for clout and so many suck ups in his friends and fanbase, but they have literally all fucking failed him by not giving him genuine direction. You can see it in how the other guys just co opted his podcast. It's fucking sad, man, because he's not just good at the stuff he's ignoring, he's actually really great at that stuff.
