Darren Lemke's SUPERMAN REBORN (1993)
>Superman dies fighting Doomsday. His soul jumps into Lois Lane and impregnates her. Lois gives birth to Superman’s reincarnation, who grows into adulthood in a matter of weeks and defeats Doomsday.

Tim Burton's SUPERMAN LIVES (1995)
>Superman (Nicolas Cage) dies fighting Doomsday, but is revived by the Kryptonian artificial intelligence “K” without memories or powers. Armed with Kryptonian weapons that give him the appearance of a “hip-hop Phantom of the Opera”, Superman sets out to stop Doomsday and his master Lexiac, the bickering two-headed fusion of Lex Luthor (Tim Allen) and Brainiac (Jim Carrey). Luthor has a giant space dog and Brainiac has a sassy gay robot minion. Brainiac fights giant sentient polar bears that guard the Fortress of Solitude and Superman faces a giant alien spider in the final battle.

He is killed by Kata-Zor, but revived after an encounter with Jor-El’s spirit, defeats Kata-Zor and Luthor and departs to confront Ty-Zor.
