It's reasonable to leave behind things that were only meant to be the scaffolding of your experience, but it's more about car-bound function-serving inhabitants. And the most important part, both reasons to leave things behind seemingly have nothing to do with the "shallowness" of experience, whatever that thing was supposed to mean. What were you talking about? What's the big deal? What can't I see?
