>>112386834This. He has a completely legit reason to have this complex, unlike most other people. Shouldering the legacy of an alien warlord-goddess as a 12 year old kid, her secrets, her powers, her enemies, her failures while also mentally unfucking like a dozen separate failures alien and human both was his thing. Now his thing is gone, got resolved with a jarringly quick end and his "happily ever after" of lazing around and enjoying his dad's 10 million bux got fucked over equally suddenly.
So here is Steven now, lost and completely rudderless. His gf is in college, getting ahead in life, his alien friends all solved their issues and went on with their lives, his human friends are all doing their own thing now, often leaving Steven's life and he is just being... there. Doing nothing with his life, same as his dad, just even lacks his rockstar ambitions. He is essentially that bored, jaded neet with issues a 17 who just can't find his purpose in life, all the more loathsome because of the absolutely insane amount of resources he has from his cinnamon roll of a dad(and his money) to his alien friends, to his gf, to his god-aunts and an entire race of servants if he wills like. Of course, this is a kids show, so he will be alright, but it could have totally happen that he just keeps pissing away opportunities, refusing help offered, removing himself from situations until he completely ends up holed in boredom and unhealthy thoughts about past until he ends up being a neet hermit somewhere in Empire City, wistfully reminiscing about times when his dad was alive, he still had a gf, the gems still talked to him and so on.
