>>112393988>it's gotten really stale More like people don’t want to stick with a show for ten years. Call me crazy, but Bob’s Burgers is still as good as it was in Seasons 2-4.
Literally the only thing it falters in is maintaining a balance of screen time between the kids and the parents. The OP of those Animation Domination Generals has been dubbing the series ‘Bob's Burgers But It's About the Kids’ for the longest time now, and rightfully so. The newer seasons’ only flaw is the overreliance on kid-focused episodes, which you could admittedly argue is done because Tina, Gene, and Louise have a bigger net of Wagstaff friends for the writers to pick and choose from, while Bob and Linda have, what, Teddy? Maybe Gretchen and Sergeant Bosco? Sometimes Hugo and Jimmy Pesto?... Rarely ever Mort?
Aside from that, Bob’s Burgers is still solid. The Belchers are still fun, the jokes still land, the premises are still interesting and surprising, and the continual worldbuilding and callbacks help keep Seymour’s Bay, NJ feeling fresh. Fans of the past seasons just got tired of consistent quality, I guess. The show may have peaked in popularity, but not in quality.
