>>112326207She seems to be made of metal at least, she uses a drill to pierce her ears. It makes sense that she'd start in a smith car but it annoys me to no end how she tries to spraypaint all reflective surfaces in a car that's literally filled with metallic weapons. You could try to rationalize that with the car being too dark or something but it still triggers my autism. I also don't get how she could easily shave off just her hair if her whole body's made of metal but that's just a pick.
Deer's powers seem to be random, I was hoping they'd all have to do with light (changes colors in front of MT, shoots lasers in front of Jesse) but the giraffe shit makes it seem random, hopefully the writers don't use it as a deus ex asspull too often.
MT's personality seems to mostly be aggressive/standoffish but that's no surprise considering she's being hunted. Beyond that I assume her arc will be learning to make friends and/or developing a personality. It might end with her leaving the train or working as some sort of guide for the train's denizens.
Also, it's really obvious at least one of the chrome policemen will die. I'd personally like it if she worried less about differentiating herself from Tulip and learned to be happy with herself. That being said, she doesn't seem to have the nerd cred Tulip has so she might not have to worry about that. In the Chrome Car it made it seem like the mirror versions had opposite personalities but I don't really see that beyond MT being more STR than INT. I was hoping they'd reference her fascinating with banks at least but I guess she got over that.
Jesse seems to be your typical wacky jock but it's a good contrast with MT and he adds some much-needed levity. His number's pretty low (32) so maybe he just needs to learn to take shit more seriously. MT's clearly the focus. I would've liked it more if the books were more removed from each other but I guess Ashley needs a paycheck.
