>>112299228/a/ hasn't been 4chan since it was fucking /a/ - anime/random, which is where moot made his first and biggest mistake. It's weird: in a sense, you're right. This board should have only ever been about anime and Japanese pop culture. That way ti would have lived in died in complete obscurity. the "random" element started the age of /b/ that would forge 4chan into the center of internet culture it would end up becoming in the mid-;ate 2000s. As you can see, thins spiraled form there. The moment faggots on the internet found a place where they could talk about "anything," they jumped on it, and form 03-06 that bandwagon had spitballed until it had encompassed the original site in the primordial stew of what would become meme culture.
The problem is, you still think it is that board, that obscure board about otaku topics and nothing else, when ironically, from its very inception, was already expanding beyond those borders, for better or worse. When you and faggots like you say '/a/ is 4chan" I am challenged in finding a statement so ironically false. It was made for anime, but the trojan of random, silly topics was planted in it from birth. You say it is anime and only anime, when in essence, it never was 100% about anime, even if it's what moot intended. To call anyone came to 4chan for anything other than anime is bald faced fucking lie crusted in a half truth. To say the same thing about people now, over a decade later, is just a plain. bald faced lie. Non-Japanese boards outnumber the anime boards, and have done so for years. This little by-gaijins-for-gaijins copy of 2channel has come a long way, and to stick your head up your ass about it will change nothing.
If you think all the on-anime boards should be deleted, fine by me, but they're not. they're still here, and will be for the foreseeable, indefinite future.
Feel free to contact Hiro if you feel that should change.
Good luck, though
