>>112066967Vast Error is the biggest fucking enigma to me.
I've read the first act and the writing is absolute dogshit, like written by a 14-year-old dogshit. It's impossible to understand what characters are saying half the goddamn time becasue of the weird unecessary way the diaglouge is written. And the way that the writer attempts to make the omnicient skeleton dude sound smart by tacking as much pretentious purple prose onto all of his narration, despite him clearly not having any idea how most of it is actually supposed to work in a sentence, made me want to drive my head through a fucking wall.
Also even though I follow a lot of the HS-twitter crowd, i.e. the people who are supposedly this thing's audicene, I've never seen any of them talk about reading it at all. I'll sometimes hear it mentioned in passing as this exemplary fanwork, but it's content is never actually discussed.
And yet it's also somehow this big huge fanventure with gorgeous art, lavishly animated flash pages, multiple music albulms, and a full-fledged friendsim equivalent, all worked on by some of the most revered artists from the HS fandom. And this is all for this thing that I struggle to indentify a single real fan of.
I feel like either the writer has extremely rich parents whose money he's using to hire all the actually talented people on the crew, or it's some kind of weird money laundering scheme.
