>>112047673It's not particularly political. Can't remember if there's much else, but there's a gay guy, and some lesbians who are easy to mistake for just friends. The pilot makes some jokes at the expense of them. That's why some people are unhappy, or because they don't like certain things that the creator has done in the past.
Hazbin Hotel's main issues are not in politics, they're elsewhere. If you're familiar with Vivziepop's past works, you should know the issues already; use of colors, lack of clarity in the way the characters are posed, animation getting a little spastic. It's very possible there will be issues with the story too, but right now it's too early to tell.
Anyway, basically it feels like a bunch of talented artists, VAs and musicians joined together to animate some OCs of a teenager going through their edgy phase. There is talent involved in the animation, and it's probably worth watching for that, but the core of the work just feels like it came straight out of deviantArt (which it did).
