It'd explain a lot. Her craving of perfection? She is purpose-built to seek it. The pointless expansion? She's designed to lead an ever-expanding empire. The odd aim to destroy organic life that's exceedingly rare in the SU universe?
Wiping out possible competitors for their masters.
I don't think she's a quantum computer. I think she, just like all other gems, is an uplifted animal of some sort, probably an inorganic one. Even the way she easily folds makes sense from this theory. She didn't somehow turn good.
A stronger member of her pack, of her family challenged her authority and defeated her, placing itself as the leader. White just did what pack animals do and submitted to a stronger opponent.
