The days grow colder, the nights grow longer. That means /co/ Christmas cheer is coming to town. Grab some cocoa, turn on the Christmas music, get comfy, and hang out with some /co/mrades as we share stories and get into the holiday spirit.
As previous years, share your Amazon wishlist and some random Anon may purchase a holiday gift for you. Be sure to gift another Anon in return so we can spread the cheer far and wide.
Please check the Pastebin to learn how to get your wishlist code, add a shipping address, the benefits of using AmazonSmile, and all other information.
Last year we had 169 gifted anons, some more than once.
Ungifted lists:
pastebin.com/GiSViFxH
All lists:
pastebin.com/9WnLPeVr
To get your wishlist code, open your wishlist on Amazon, then copy the 11 digit number from the link. It will look like this:
amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/###########
We just need the ###########
Missing Address: When viewing your list, click the "…" in the upper right hand corner. From there click "Manage List" which will give you a few options including “Shipping Address”. While you’re here please check “Third party shipping agreement”. That will allow anons to buy you stuff that isn’t sold by amazon.
Please post when you buy something from a wishlist, either post the code again or link to their post of the code. Amazon has made it so we can't check to see what's been purchased.

Oh man, this one's a cool one. The patron saint for December 9th is Saint Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin, the very first native of the Americas to become a saint. Born in late Fifteenth century and living util 1548, got himself baptized soon after the first missionaries came to what is now Mexico. On one cold December in 1531 Virgin Mary appeared before him, five times in total, healing his sick uncle and instructing him to build a chapel so that other Christians could find some peace. Which lead to the veneration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which I'm sure our Mexican friends know as that thing that exists.

Already took care of a couple anons, but just a reminder to the rest of you folks! I like to buy things off your lists that I enjoy! There's a new set of Justice League International trades starting next month, I recommend adding them to your list. Bone by Jeff Smith is an incredible series, and with the announcement of a Netflix series what better time to read it? Maybe add it to your list? Usagi Yojimbo, a great series, is celebrating its 35th anniversary! Now at IDW, Dark Horse still has plenty of trades. I'd think they'd be a good idea to add to your list. Slam Dunk! The king of all sports manga and the 9th highest selling manga series in the world. I'm a big fan, and I think a lot of you would be too. Thirty one volumes is a lot, but what if you got one of them free? Outside of that, I like plenty of things. Those are what I recommend this year. YZBEZMECFB3M

Seeing as how the only other real choice would be *yet another* female martyr from before the Christian faith became mainstream, the patron saint of December 10th I chose is Pope Saint Gregory III, who served as the Main Guy in the 730s. Born in Syria, he was the last pope from outside of Europe until the current one. Starch opponent of iconoclasm (or destroying religious art because it doesn't appeal to _MY_ offshoot!), he soon became a target for Byzantine Emperor, Leo III, who came up with the idea. He sent out a fleet to implore Greg to reconsider, but the sea had other ideas. In the end, Greggy outlived Leo, if only by few months, so I guess he had the final word. He also promoted the Christianization of Germany, so that's neat.

The only puzzle *I* can't figure out is why nobody's storytiming anything! I guess the only solution is to post the most insane story arc of the Curtis/Station run of Dick Tracy set during the Yuletide period.
Just to get some context: Vitamin Flintheart is a thespian pal of Dick Tracy, who was originally a theatre ham but has since been retconned as a theatre ham AND the sidekick of some corny old western (think Jingles from "The Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok") and whose previous wife died off-panel of Thenewwriterwantedtogetridofheritis. Gruesome is one of Tracy's villains who never appeared in the comic until this story - there was the 1947 movie "Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome", where the titular villain was played by none other than Boris Karloff. The movie entered the pulic domain, so there's no question of arcane copyright being broken (this has been done before by the strip, when they introduced Cueball from the 1946 movie "Dick Tracy Vs Cueball" into the strip back in 2011).

I think we're about ready for a new thread. Anyone mind if I do the honors?

I don't think we need a new thread. We could potentially go through 100 more posts before this one falls off the edge. I say let 'er rip.

If this gets solved the next one goes up to twenty games and I will dig even deeper into obscure games. It will be time to start exploring obscure consoles that sold less than a thousand units.
