Left is a dunk on Snyder's entire run from Metal through Justice League, including the Dark Multiverse spin-offs, and the top right panel is as clear a panel taking shots at Bendisspeak as I've ever seen.
If anything, the two panels beneath it seem to be a shot at how Morrison would have written people trying to take his son away, whether it be his Dad or the Legion, both of which were Bendis choices, and Hal removes any doubt.
Remember that Morrison's Superman theory is that you don't escalate just to escalate. Superman is best when he does what we do, just on a Super level, and that's all Tomasi's run was. It was a man taking on the mantle of father, and doing the best he could to raise the best child he could, even if with all of his powers he wasn't always able to make everything happen perfectly for his son.
It was wholesome, it was simple, it was fun, and yet, it dealt with Eradicator, the multiverse, Sgt Rock and the island of Dinosaurs, Mxy and the Sixth Dimension, Bizzaro, his world, and his son, and even Manchester Black and the threats he presented to Superman, his son, and their community. Tomasi didn't need to create a Doughnut Steel, Superman could job to because there was already an entire portfolio of content that he could write Superman experiencing, some cases on his own for the first time, and others as a revisit, but with his son for the first time.
Hell, I can only imagine that Tomasi didn't dare write Superman helping Justice League Incarnate find Earth 23 Superman in the Multiverse without Morrison's blessing, which means they probably talked shop, and Morrison was at minimum okay with, if not a fan of what Tomasi was doing.
