Also Little Rascals (Originally called Our Gang, but you probably know them better as the Little Rascals if you're in my age group and not some weirdo 90 year old browsing 4chan) had the He-Man Woman Haters Club created by Spanky.
And Skeletor is a skeleton in the closet as in He-Man is in the closet and that's a manifestation of his anxieties over his sexuality.
Also the cartoon was on at a time when you didn't really make overtly gay characters. So when you watch it with that in mind you realize they were trying as hard as they could to make it gay within those confines.
