>>111509497Basically a fan on twitter PMed him saying "I kinda feel like Claudia might be gay? Is that a thing you're doing?"
And he PMed back something along the lines of "Well if it makes you feel any better, in the writers room there are people that think she might be bi too! But it's not going to be in the show, what we're doing is specifically her moving away from romantic entanglements to make Family the most important thing in her story."
He flat-out told her that there were writers that shared her opinion, but it wasn't going to come up in the show. And she still acted like he'd betrayed her when it didn't come up in the show.
Thing is, she screencapped and posted the tweets, including the ones where he told her "it ain't coming up" so when she posted it all the most common response was "...hang on, he fucking told you it wasn't coming up."
THAT wasn't the shitstorm, she just happened to throw her stuff into the shitstorm that was already going on because two former employees (NEITHER ONE A WRITER) said he must be sexist for not taking their story ideas. Meanwhile he didn't take the male writers' ideas either because the dude was trying to write as much of this by himself as possible (imperfect results, but Jesus, I look at Voltron and what happened to Adventure Time, and lemme tell you "one experienced writer in the driver's seat" is still better than the alternative.)
